Waste Blooms at Calicut Beach

Waste bloomed into attractive and useful things on the beach when students of the The Oxford School, Calicut took an initiative to sensitize the public about recycling and reusing waste materials on the 150th birth anniversary of Gandhiji.

Oxfordians surprised people who gathered on the Calicut beach on 2nd October, showing them how effectively we can reuse the waste that we dumb blindly in the public places everyday. They were literally taking the words of Gandhiji into action- ‘Do or die’- showing and inspiring the public that how small things can change the world.

TOSC Principal Dr. Anas, delivered the welcome note. Calicut Mayor Sri. Thottathil Raveendran inaugurated the event. Sri. Baburaj, Health Standing Committee Chairman and Sri. Anil Kumar, Town Planning Standing Committee Chairman addressed the gathering. Faculty members Noushad, Ajnas, Remya, and Neenu participated.
